Valentino says goodbye

after 45 years in the fashion industry Valentino Garavani waved his last goodbye at his final couture show in paris on january 23rd. lucy lui, claudia schiffer, uma therman, and miuccia Prada were a few of the many guest who had the chance to say goodbye. not only did he have a complete show but ended with one of his famous gowns in his signature lipstick red.
Alessandra Facchinetti was also there, who from now on, will carry on the Valentino legacy.

one of my favorite actors died of a possible overdose yesturday. i hope his little girl is alright! he will with out a doubt join the group of legendary artists who died just too young

nothing like a little advertising featuring kate moss !! last summer when i was in paris i couldn't walk down one block without seeing 5 or 6 of these pretty average bags. only in the past few months have i really seem them around my own city. its kinda nice that every girl will be able to afford something from a well known higher label. these bags go from $80 to $150

i have never been crazy for print so american apparel basics are the best. i think i might own a bit too many thing from there (15) but they are the best for basics. yesterday i bought the headband which also can be worn as a belt, a black pencil skirt. a larger cardigan, and since i really only wear black, white, and gray i thought the plum coloured tights would be a nice touch!

i just got these from uo and their perfect for tights. i've been looking for something besides the regular slip on flats!

well i decided to ring in the new year in cancun and i have to say i am much more the city girl than anything. well for new year resolutions i have decided to make no resolutions ! for years and years we have all tried and really who's idea was it to make resolutions?? no one ever keeps them! i guess if i had to make one it would be something simple ... like be a little happier or lets see buy those amazing oxford chloe boots .. you know something a little more realistic

Simona Mcintyre began modeling just over a year and a half ago now and she already has paris and new york fashion week under her belt, not to mention spreads in elle, french marie claire, vogue, and nylon, and walking with the best of them in jean paul gautier. at almost 6 feet tall she has almost alien like feature you see only Ward but without the sweet girl next door image. her look is edgy but soft, harsh but versitille. i hope to see more of this canadian beauty soon!<3

we all go through music phases where at one age we liked the backstreet boys but now find them old men, or loved britney but now are ashamed, or went through the phase of loving nirvana for their oh so mean teenage angst especially after their coolness factor went up since kurt died so young ( get the pattern..james dean, kurt, buddy holly, diana..you get the point). well as long as i can remember i have always loved the hives i only hope they don't turn into another phase like the rest. they music isn't anything tragically deep but its something that was not only written well but has the beat to make you want to scream with them. well for now i can only wish that they come back to my city of tools and fools!

though it is truly impossible for anyone to dye their hair the gorgeous ginger strawberry colour that is Cintia Dicker we can at least dream right?? its sad that she hasn't been around lately she is my favorite model and i only wish i could see more ( no creepy intentions i swear)
